I had my usb drive plugged in the same time never done that before. Anyway I deleted the boot files on everything I seen and didn't think about the usb drive ahhhhhhhhh that also had xp on. Unlugged it after put xp on pc now sorted. But usb drive loads up and shows in device manger but wont show on laptop or pc ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It must be all lost now wat a nightmare. bluliz Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Sounds like you have deleted the partition on the USB HD Right click on My Computer, ---> Manage Select Disk Management, There will be a Disk that does not have a Partition. If this is right then yes you have deleted the partition, You now have 3 options, Use software to recover the partition, Use software to recover the data, Cry I could take a look at it if you shipped it to me, If i couldn't fix it then i'd charge you the return postage, If i did recover the data, £2 per GB + the postage.
