It leaves a recess where they should be. Fraz Edited April 15, 2009 by Frazer_d
PeeWee
And the glue isnt "really easy" to remove either, not the worst job but certainly expect some sore fingers lol.
shawdreamer
And the glue isnt "really easy" to remove either, not the worst job but certainly expect some sore fingers lol. best time of year to do it tho..... wait for the sun to get at the motor, make sure the strips get plenty of sun heat (rubbers nice and hot after a few hours) then take a paint striper gun and blast the end of a strip (dont touch the paint with the gun just blast at the strip from around 10" away) making sure that most of the heat go's under the edge of the strip. Id suggest you use some gloves to handle the strip now cos they retain heat quite well.... work the edge of the strip slowly until you can get your fingers under it then blast some more heat under to loosen up the leading edge of the M3 foam tape(what the strips are fastened with in the factory), after that its a case of slowly pealing the strip away from the bodywork occassionally blasting some heat in again to keep the momentum goin. if your careful and use enough heat(try to direct most of it at the bodywork rather than the strip) you'll find the strip will come away with the foam attached entirely to that and not to the bodywork saving you cleaning and picking it off afterwards.
