LiamGTR
Yesterday I bought myself some 16" Mondeo wheels, and the guy said he thinks their may be a problem with the valve as every other week he had to pump it up a few psi How cheap/expensive are they to replace? Escort_Kid
Shouldnt be expensive at all, its literally a 1 minute job mate to change a valve I change tyres at work Not sure of the exact price, but you'll want to get them to bead seal round the edge and put a new valve in, should be good as new then providing obviously nothings penetrated the tyre. bluliz
valve should be a £1 to £1.50 They will probably class it asa puncture repair price so....10 to 15 I highly advise taking it on on a Saturday morning, usually the boss wont be in so you can get it cheaper!!!!! LiamGTR
Lmao, good advice mate If they are going to class it as a puncture repair I may aswell ask them to check if it is actually a slow puncture while they are at it ?

What you can do it pump the tyre up to the right pressure, maybe a tad more for luck, and put it in a tub or bath of water....you will be able to see bubbles from where its leaking!!! Escort_Kid
Yep thats all I do, get a bottle of soapy water and then squirt it round the bead and onto the valve and watch for any bubbling. Edited April 16, 2009 by Escort_Kid

LiamGTR
£6, well for that i'll definitely just ask him to look for a puncture at the same time, if not then oh well, better safe than sorry and he can change the valve at the same time No doubt i'll speak to you tomorrow about the tyres
