flexluther
Hello everyone I just thought I would introduce myself to the forum. I have a ford escort GTI 1.8 R-Reg. Just out of interest has anyone else found these cars to be a bit sluggish? Mine runs with an idle valve problem which I am due to sort out but I was wondering if this would increase the power issue at all? If not then is there anyway to sort out the bhp a little. Got to admit I am more than happy with mine but coming from an owner of some fast cars in the past including an m3 its a big come down in power. Thanks for the warm welcome m8. EssexMikeSi
Hello and welcome to the forum. Look everyone, he brought the beers to. Always a good way to peoples hearts is a good beer lol. As for your gti, yeah they aren't going to be setting great 1/4 mile times anytime soon lol, but has it got a stainless cat back exhaust? fitting one of those such as a magnex system can really loosen what otherwise feels like a asthmatic escort. Other things to consider are when was your plugs and leads last changed, and is the cat ok? these can all contribute to poor performance and feel like the cars holding back. Feel free to ask if u need any other advice.
