Just to go over something 80 grit fine with 2k primer but 120 grit is better 320 areas around repair before priming in 2k to lose edges of old paint and such. IT IS FINE to 320 primer and even old paint and whole panels before painting in 2k solid colours.... No need for wet flatting. For 2k clear over base, 600 is good for everything ....you can get away with 400 but NOT with silver or equally light colours and use 1500 for fade outs. As for flatting and polishing 1500 is always a winner before mopping with G3 Hope this may help some people wanting to actuall have a crack themselves... Keep up the good work fella. It is always advisable to do all painting in one go.... i.e base coat dust coat, leave to tack off, then further coats of base until covered equally, leave to tack off then dust coat or two of laquer and leave to tack off then a nice coat of laquer or 2 .....
