Ill have to wait a bit, not stripping my engine completey till wednesday after the oil incident, hopefully its something simple and cheap and I havent damaged the engine, ill use the rest of my time to fit my two new gauges once I can find a nice pod!

some nice work. but the way you have welded the mounting plate worries me .the nut should be under car you are putting all the load on those three little tacks holding the nut to the plate.in an accident the nut could rip off the plate .if the nut was underneath it would have to pull itself through through the plate much stronger.i would advise you put a plate and another nut on the underside to restore strength sorry to be picking faults but had to say it. looking good keep posting :thumb:

do you need a different front sub frame?

Pretty sure you use the rs2000 sub frame, I looked into an rs2000 fwd conversion and needed the sub frame, best way to make it fit.

Yes the rs2000 front subframe and driveshafts etc or a escort tdi subframe

This is looking good! Binned the Rs Turbo idea then?

Also, +1 to what Etrebus said!

The turbo lump went a while ago to make room in the garage for the escort to go in
