Project FakeCos.

Got a bit of it built up tonight. It's amazing how all the little details make the car look complete, like the bonnet washer jets, side repeaters etc. Still needs lots of tweeking, like front bumper adjusting properly, needs the indicator/fog sections cut out so the indicators fit in the bumper, rear bumper needs new holes drilled in the arch to pick the corners up etc, but it's getting there.

I went to the bodyshop this morning and flatted off the doors, tailgate, mirrors, whaletail and front grill ready for paint tomorrow. Should have them back by the weekend.

Another quick update. I got the tailgate and front grill back form the paintshop. The doors and whaletail wouldn't fit in the van so won't get those till about Thursday now. Anyway, got the tailgate to got the badges and spoiler all fitted up.

Small turbo badging of course as the car is a P plater and they are more subtle.

Lots of pictures.

Tomorrows job will be the loom connections to accept all the MK5 lights and dash etc and setting all the bumpers and panels up properly as they are just thrown on at the moment.

Looks mega! You didn't fancy the standard Cossie position of the badge?

I have gone for the later spec, small turbo badge style and position as I prefer it, looks more subtle and the car is a late registered P plate so is in theme with the car. The big turbo cars had them all on the left and Ford oval on the right with a different font Escort and RS badge. The laster spec small turbo cars has them layed out this way with the MK6 style chrome badges.

Hmm, never seen one that way round before.
