sidrick
Good work man. Any reason why all the time/money/effort into an Imp though? You can pick up a BMW E36 for pittence and make a (IMO) 10 times better car with the expertise you have.

You can pick up a BMW E36 for pittence and make a (IMO) 10 times better car with the expertise you have. Thanks pal. Aye, there is. I fell in love with this, i've wanted an Imp for a fair while (with a massive list of other cars i want) this came along and i had to have it. It has character, it's different and IMO, beautiful. You'd be surprised how well this little thing shifts and 100BHP in this is about 200BHP in your average modern (ish) car. I love the concept of little engines packing a punch, i think it's phenominal that 120BHP is easily achieveable from an 875cc engine, the car is under estimated, that's for sure! caled
Completely agree, this is way more interesting than an e36. Any idea how much this thing weighs?

Stu
Is it either going to rev to 10k rpm or be turbocharged?
Ahmotorsport
Is it either going to rev to 10k rpm or be turbocharged? When i can afford it, turbocharged. Would probably have to be a 1040cc to see that sort of power N/A....And yes, 10k RPM xD Believe it or not, the stock rods are forged steel and good for a constant 8750RPM and the crank i've heard is comfortable for 10k RPM, but i've only heard that about the crank, so i'm not sure. PeeWee
Fair play for something different and choosing such a project at such a young age.Saying it's a "beautiful" car is a tad extreme though in my eyes, I'm old enough to remember my dad having one of these and always thought they were a fairly ugly eyesore example of a car. Oh don't get me wrong I love seeing classic cars brought back, I just consider these an eyesore lol. It doesn't mean I don't have respect for a young lad to do such intense restoration.
