haven't posted on here in a while but due to a number of things i haven't had the time

so since my last post, the bottom end on the escort went, and due to work commitments it sat outside my house un touched for about 6months . . . very sad times

but after a massive Business fail by my superiors haha, i then had lots of time haha

so after selling my beloved campervan, and knocking down a few walls to gain some space work began, here are some pictures of the story so far :)

What included in these new plans then? Glad its back.

other than fixing all that is broken . . . its mostly aesthetics as im happy with the performance of the car . . . want to keep it as much of an XR3 as possible

mk1 frs diff

2 front wheel bearings

clean up and paint the engine block and components

gearbox and rocker are going candy purple

actual engine bay of the car i cant decide whether to respray in the polaris grey or go gloss black :/

new side lights (ones on are a tad yellow)

new soundproofing

flocked dash

some interior parts will be going polaris grey and candy purple to blend in with the exterior

just read the readers ride bit in PF. you definately need an uncut rear bumper spoiler.

i need a front splitter was going to go for a rs500 one my mate had on his escos . . .

small update . . . i cleaned up the engine, and painted the mid section, have to wait for that to dry before i can etch the rest and paint it again (as the top and bottom is aluminium) . . . if you remember what the engine looked like before there is a massive difference . . . heres a few pics

another small update . . . with the help of the other half (wayne) got the car on 4 axle stands (yes they appear to be poles welded into mini wheels . . . and yes thats technically what they are) but they are beautifully hand crafted by my dad and held a campervan up for 7 years so they'd do a grand job :P . . .discovered i need 2 news sills and also some more painting went on

so this is wayne after managing to get the car high enuogh to put up on these beasts (not sure about how its coming down yet) haha . . . it's the perfect height for working on though :) so top job

escort sills love to rust lol, just had mine replaced at the start of this year lol. Good to see progress on this, it looked very smart before, so cant wait to see it once its finished! and lovin those axle stands!

yeah liked his looks before . . . only thing im adding to exterior is an rs500 splitter, go gloss black on the plastics (round the mirrors and such like)

progress on this may be on hold for a while as im away to open my business on monday (details of that will follow too :P)

luckily for.me my sills are solid as.fook
