Only real issues: 1. Electrics - Too simple, causes issues with batteries etc.2. Hates big hills in anything above 2nd gear (30mph max in 2nd).Take the p*** all you want... but I bet you can't beat £16 a year road tax, £100 a year insurance and 100-150 mpg (with the right riding gear you don't miss in car heating etc...) Although I want another car when income allows (love another Escort) or insurance prices come down (if only...) I have to say I'm bitten by the motorcycle bug! Next stop a Yamaha RXS 125 (twin 62cc 2 stroke) or a full test!

Craig855S
What has this got that the base model (not deluxe) hasnt? 150MPG does appeal i must say, if i had to commute to work it'd pay for itself very quickly over running a car to and from work

I've often wondered this myself... but I have no idea as it's become one of those things you crave to know. I has already paid for itself with me, with car insurance and fuel as it is. The bike, tax, mot, insurance, parts, repairs, safety gear and CBT cost less than 3 months car insurance. To put the fuel into perspective, my girlfriend drives a Peu-cheese-eating-surrender-monkey-geot 107 1.0l with a 35 litre petrol tank. If I ride without trying to blow the gasket I can get the same amount of miles out of my 8 litre tank. - I'm sure she's not getting the advertised 62mpg out of the 107 as she drives it like a rally car but still... The biggest problem is safety... even with protection, in the same crash conditions you guys in Escorts will get a steering wheel implanted in your forehead as the airbag failed to deploy where as I would more than likely lose a limb or worse, die.
