Mmm car come along way since last post

It's got a rear as bumper fitted 1 day before ff

Well some bad news but not all bad, my engine has given up the ghost (god dam it) any way I removed it to replace it

I thought when we talked about it, you said that 2.0 is the only way to go. :innocent:

 

I suppose puma was a cheaper solution on a short notice ?

 

Early hours of the morning getting the engine in place lol, just got to sort the manifold/ exhaust out and it good to go

Yeh, isnt the Puma setup the right way round though isnt it, guess its damn hard to reverse the setup for the mondeo block?

Yeah there the wheels mate two have curbing tho,

old engine has been chucked in boot of puma and weighed in,

as for fitting the puma lump my engine packed in and needed the quick option to get it back on road its dday tomorrow i fire it up see if theres any problems or not but its strait forward inlets at the front on this engine my old one the inlet was on the back

Ha lol it was to weigh it down to take the pic, still needs finishing

 

bet that feels a lot better than the endura boat anchor!

Mmm yes is a hell of alot quicker keeps up with the 2.0s with ease lol

lol and i remember you telling me the endura was 'pretty nippy' iirc, they good reliable engines but my god are they slow

 

wonder why they put the only good se zetec (1.7 vct) in the puma only and nothing else, recon anyones ever put one in a focus or something

The 1600 is good! Beautiful little engine.

 

my focus is the 1.6 se engine, in my personal experience (and only my experience) ive had nothing but problems with it, so for me at least...100% of 1.6 se's are bad lol, in fairness im pretty sure ive just got a bad example of one as loads of people ive talked to have bin like 'oh didnt expect that to happen these engines are normally really good'

Yeah the 1.3 was pretty nippy for a 1.3, but the 1.7 is a differant ball game lol, i wouldnt think the 1.7 would be much good in a focus it heavier, ive had some ideas where i may be going with this next year

Yeah the 1.3 was pretty nippy for a 1.3, but the 1.7 is a differant ball game lol, i wouldnt think the 1.7 would be much good in a focus it heavier, ive had some ideas where i may be going with this next year

 

they put a 1.4 in a focus lol
