Strikey
Hello,Nice to speak to you all again it's been a while, I still have my escort needs a bit of TLC atm First of all a little history:Purchased for £500 from a scrap yard as I have always wanted one so there was my chance, probably too expensive but for the problems it had I thought it was worth it. The person who previously had the MR2 has completely wrecked it without even knowing. As it sits now it is in better condition, I have way too many photos to upload so what I am going to do is select the most required ones I think needs to be shown. Toyota MR2 MK2 REV1 GT-Tbar Sport Red 2.0L 3S-GE engine The car ran out of tax in April if I remember correctly and the MOT expired 26/10/2011 I purchased the vehicle on 02/05/2012 Since the beginning of the MOT the car has only done 800 or so miles which isn't too bad to say it would of been about a year and a half or more. Anyway here come some piccies: Exteriorhttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/UFIV1.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/xU7r9.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/cdyh1.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/NxDP.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/If1Xw.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/1YSxA.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/qt41O.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/SoEdD.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/RhoP0.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/oesNh.jpg Interiorhttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/x35L.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/zOmN0.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/gkty4.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/NopdA.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/kJ3w6.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/V4bzu.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/o280f.jpg Enginehttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/LUbdh.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/a7pml.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/7sSpK.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/nMb6C.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/nkxqD.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/vgHYm.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/K4hr.jpg Let me know what you all think and when I get some feedback I shall upload some of the work I have doneAll comments welcome good and bad (some people can handle the truth )

Strikey
all that i can really say is............................ want to see the updates on this oneGot plenty coming already done plenty on it already why would anyone put Ferrari stickers on itBecause they obviously can't tell the difference between Japanese and Italian! Any particular reason you wanted the worst version of the SW20?I don't like the mk1 as they are square i have a cardboard box cutout that looks better and the mk3 would either make me look like a woman or gay. always fancied one of these. Stu
That isn't what I meant. There are 3 main revisions of the SW20 chassis (what you have). The first one (what you have) is the worst, lowest engine output, most unsafe chassis, smallest brakes, etc.

Naylor2006
Looks like a good spring board, cant say I know alot about these cars. Yes the sticker seems to be a low point but easily removed, maybe it was for a bet.

Strikey
Update:I have removed all of the Ferrari badgeshttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/hGRKl.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/Sx4hn.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/oLHK.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/qLP5A.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/VvGAo.jpg The MR2 with it's lights and fogs onhttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/mvtye.jpg A little bit of work in the engine bay removed the air cone, for easier access the engine bay cover has been removed. I have take out the remainder of the air box as it wasn't in use and if anything was blocking air access for the current air filter. removed the broken brackets.http://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/29NX.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/AmJit.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/6lH.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/n3Ka.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/IPrfe.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/abZXL.jpg Did the lights and began to remove them, the stock lights where in the back of the car either they are going back on or I shall be purchasing some new ones. The lights where held on badly as you can see on the images on the sides it had one screw and custom made bracket that was holding the lights in with one screw and a cable tack, the center had wood siliconed too it and three screws that where supposed to go into it I am guessing but not one actually touched the wood.http://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/jr3xG.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/fNaB3.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/qDrQj.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/lE8VC.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/IKPzo.jpghttp://strikeys-pic.com/images/2012/06/09/YHr4V.jpg I shall leave it here for now got some more coming, want to hear everybody's feedback first! DaweV6
Are you planning a respray ? Wouldn't those badges come off with a heat gun ?
Naylor2006
Thats bad news about the badges man, not that they are removed but the mess left behind, they must have been on there for some time to do that sort of damage no?
