PeeWee
Having had both it's horses for courses.I had mk5 morrettes and also rs2k morettes on my escorts, I went for a black set of projectors for my cab as it fitted the theme I was looking for and suited better. I agree, its not whats best in general its whats best for the application or theme as you say, surely standard morettes are a worse performing unit as far as lighting goes than the angel eye ones anyway. My angel eyes with H1 bulbs in them were so much better by comparison.

Circle8
I had this problem. I wanted to change from the previous chome angel eye projectors & it was a toss up between black projectors or morettes. It all came down to money in the end. I could pick up a brand new set of projectors including delivery for roughly half the price of a pair of 2nd hand morretes & having to get them painted. I just couldn't justify the extra expense. I'm happy with the looks & light output with standard bulbs. I just wish the angel rings lit up brighter. http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/zz262/Sav-1/Trax2009011.jpg

SICK VAN I looked into this, it is possible to change the weird T peice LED's however it was a nightmare to find the right ones and get at fitting them. I dont think the van would look better with morettes, the black angel eyes are a real smart unit and the whole van looks mint, its been debated, I found the lighting far better from my old angel eyes then I do from my morettes. Morettes you also have the hassle of fitting indicators somewhere and yeh the bumper ones look aight but I havent seen many people use them. I had replaced a couple of the T shaped LEDs on my chrome set after they had blown, but I don't think you can get any that are brighter than standard. If you know different I'd be interested! Morettes are a bit easier to maintain I guess and a pair of brand new lenses can be picked up for £40. It was more than I year ago when I looked into it but I'm sure I found some T's that we're brighter as that's why I was looking rather than cause mine blew. I think I've seen someone fit more in.
