Naylor2006
This is another one of my questions where the answer is probably the same but just wanna check. Does a 2.0 silvertop mondeo engined escort require 2.0 mondeo leads or escort 1.6/1.8 leads? Just wondering what to ask the guys at the Ford parts desk. Thanks all. sidrick
1.6-2.0 leads will be fine. They are not capacity specific.

Just checked out your SUYM, saw DC did you a good deal, roughly £20 cheaper than Deamon Tweaks, I shall be placing an order shortly, im sure blue leads would go nice with the over all relentless blue theme of my blue car. Stu
I'd only ever use OEM leads, aftermarket ones tend to be unreliable.
JC
i've got split fire ones, blue and having two sets of OEM ones fail, and i'm the biggest advocate of genuine parts!

Me too especially when Im buying oil pumps. Its just about time I changed em, I never had an issue with my old blue leads on my 1.6 and they will match the blue theme, if they fail ill buy OEM, easy part to change and not the most expensive, unlike the oil pump. Seems like 1.6/1.8/2.0 zetec e all have the same part number so ill grab a set for my major service before the Ford Fair.
Ahmotorsport
We've gone through a couple of Zetec leads over the years, i'd go for the 'performance' ones.

Let's not forget the leads are blue also. What would be the difference on a pretty standard engine like mine in fitting 8mm blue leads or the 10mm red ones? Ahmotorsport
Fcuk all. Stock leads are probably fine on yours its, really hot temperatures that we've had trouble with. They are a service item too.
