All the way back from 1999 including RED wiper blades ! 8)

at least it's british

Well.... It's badged as such and thrown together on Merseyside, but developed in Germany under an American concern, so.... it depends. Same as Escort.

1997 actualy

The red wipers went ages months back

I can read a number plate, don't you worry.

I was referring to your modding style, it just took me straight back to Aachen GM meet in 1999. Timewarp scene car.

skirts from 1996

Steering wheel from 1995

Alloys from 1991

I expected some abuse for posting my vauxhall on this site the same sort I got for putting my escort on the vauxhall site before I found this site

But I don't care I put a lot of work in and shes a great looking estate

What has modding to do with a manufacturing date ?

Are you gonna tell me that when around 2002 it became popular to put Scorpio seats into Cortinas it's not a 21st century mod, but actually 1995 ?

Everything about your OEM+ modding reminds of time aprox 12 years ago - color coding galore, windscreen stickers, large bore on a diesel, big audio install, etc. I'm not judging it, I'm just nicely reminded of the time when it used to be a daily staple of any car scene. All you're missing is red LEDs and neons.

I'm not commenting on a fact that it is a Vauxhall either - I think of them in a same way as I do about fat chicks - they'll do in a time of crisis, but if anybody asks me if I ever had one, I'll always firmly deny it !

I kind of have a soft spot for mk3 and mk4 astras. Your car looks very nice indeed and as long as you are happy then thats what matters. Also like the cavalier - part of me wants to get a 4wd turbo one :D although the really big kid says lotus carlton :D

I prefer fords but I am a car enthusiast - like good looking women, you dont mind where they come from as long as they look good and drive the way you want ;)

is that the 1.7 diesel yeh? if it is a friend of mie had one of those in a 94 astra, if nothing else it was a reliable old dog, got to 157k when he parked it in the garage a few years back and its sat there ever since, he bought a v6 cougar instead as the insurance was cheaper believe it or not!

105000 on the clock brand new cylinder head and gaskets new turbo and exhaust before I got her all cost the owner £600 I bought yet for £400

Only problem is she failed her mor on brake lines but that's not an issue she smokes really bad which I suspect is from being stood for 4 years only idleing

Last work to do is the brake lines then she's off for a respray since the bonnet front bumper grill tailgate rear bumper and skirts are all freshly painted the standard vauxhall red on my car is obviously faded (for which vauxhall flame red is famous for) so a guy I know who runs an auto body shop Is going to respray the front wings rear quarters all 4 doors and the roof for £400 which I don't think is bad

i believe it

my 2001 mk4 astra estate when i furst passed my test for a ten month policy was 3100 the escort when the astra packed in was 70 somthing pounds more

when i first took out my policy they told me my renewal would be around 2500 but that they would give me a full 1 years no claims after the ten months was up

the renewal has just come in and for me to insure the escort after 11 months of having my licence is going to be 1500 im over the moon with that
