Andy 3i Posted March 23, 2013 Share Posted March 23, 2013 I've done this conversion on a mk5 and yeah, just undo the 8 13mm bolts on the rear chassis at the front of the beam, then if you want, the big axle mount bolt through the bracket (15mm head, 18mm bolt iirc), then the bottom shock bolts. Afaik the brake hoses should fit. I used a mk5 rs handbrake cable but I'm not 100% sure on a mk6 which cable, whether its for a drum or disc (logically disc sounds right tho) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hubs wont swap so its a case of roll in the whole axle with its brake hoses from the donor car too.. dalelc16 Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 hi bud you dont need washers at all lol there shud a clip which holds the pipe to the body.slid this out then undo the nut on the pipe and there you go all ofwhen you but the axle back on do the same way JUST REMEMBER THIS WHAT EVA YOU TAKE OFF YOU PUT BACK ONthe rs2000 converstion is so easy to do. just take your time. if you have a mark6 use all new parts to fit a mk6 and same for mk5 its best to use ford hand brake cable as they last longer but copy part are ok.its best to also replace both cables fron and back. realy mate its so easy as long as you blead the brakes. just ask if you want help,iv done all the converstions and this one is simple Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
