PeeWee
Wrong section. No, it's not worth it.Its an electrical component that effects mechanical items. In reality it covers two sections but seeing as the item referred to is actually electrical! Stu
I'm going to argue this because I have nothing better to do, if you think that makes the point any less valid then that is your choice. The sub-title for the mechanical forum is "Engines and Running Gear". The ECU and calibration is considered running gear. It runs the engine. However, the Electricals sub-title is about wiring, ICE and security, none of which are relevant to an ECU chip. And now i'm done
scottybo
i have one fitted to my 1.6 atm, does it give me any extra power? no not that really noticable but it does remove the flat spot lower down the rev range which increases drivability and gives better throttle responce
PeeWee
I wouldn't of thought an ecu chip was regarded as "running gear" tbf, I won't argue your point as you could be correct I'm no expert nor do I care
