scottybo
bought a supposed 1.8 130 from blueovalrallyesport, when i started stripping the head i noticed the ports were very small and so were the valves got the haynes manual out to check the valve sizes and it says the exhaust valve is 24.5mm which matches that of the head from my supposed 1.8 cane anyone have a look at this pic and confirm if i have just been robbed of £450 for a useless 1.6 head, the cams are from a 1.6 as well although he wont accept any responsibility and wont answer my calls either http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/scottybo1/2013-05-11122816_zps26f21761.jpg

blueovalrallyesport
DO NOT BAD MOUTH ME I have not ripped you off look you bought a engine now your saying it's not what you paid for!!!Question. How do I or anyone else on this forum know that's the head you bought off me? Answer. No one knows it's the one you had off me. Why on earth would someone put a high output manifold onto a 1.6 head and then bolt it to a 1.8 bottom end????? And may I just say I told you when you rang I couldn't answer the phone But have I not replayed to every text you have sent me??? Can't answer the phone as I'm in cinema with my son. I went out of my way to help you with this I took a deposit off you and then waiting well over a month for the rest of the money in this time I could of honestly sold the engine 6-7 times over. I don't rip people off and you were given the option of various payment metherds and you were also offered the option of collecting it. But then again would you have known if you had of collected it. If it is a 1.6 head it is just one of those things I honestly didnt know.

opexo
If you bought the whole engine, it's capacity should be factory marked on the engine block. As well as the engine number which must be the same as the last 3 letters and 5 numbers of the VIN of the car.A check in Microcat should say what it is. The valve sizes are:1.6 inlet 26 exhaust 24,61.8 inlet 32 exhaust 282.0 inlet 32 exhaust 28 Edited May 11, 2013 by opexo

blueovalrallyesport
Right Scottybo I have a solution kind of that I hope will help out as this wasn't intentional by me and I'm only offering this as a gesture of good will. I have a escort GTi head you can have free of charge I know it's only 115bhp but it's the best I can offer you. At least then you'll have a 1.8 head with the correct valves you will Just need to get some cams. Like I say free of charge but you will have to cover postage posts. Let me know what you think Oh and just as I hit send button I realise you have left me a negative feedback. How mature I'm trying to sort this out with you and again your daylong the pictures you have out up are of the head off the engine I sold you I don't know that that is indeed the same head do I???????? Be a man and try and sort rubbish out before you spit out your dummy!!!
