danny42
Good on you for repairing it mate, it's not an easy (or cheap) option but it is immensely satisfying!! My five-door was written off at the end of last year (woman driver not looking at the road), and its all up and running again now, just awaiting the VIC test. Check out my thread if you need abit of inspiration, unfortunately i didn't get all of the part built pics, but it does show what can be saved http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...howtopic=149503 Good luck and keep us up to date with the progress dude

danny42
Cheers mate the first drive back in her makes all the stress and graft worth it I agree, i think it looks so much neater without the badges and grills - i put some black mesh in mine. Helps it stand out from the crowd abit too! Yeh its a pain, but part of the fun aswell, like an award ceremony to certify that it's fixed I'm going to wear a tux to mine

escortlew
So bumper removed today revealed damage and a hole/split that wasn't there last week(obv rust was) http://i39.tinypic.com/2qc15xe.jpghttp://i40.tinypic.com/v60qoo.jpghttp://i40.tinypic.com/w7zjgn.jpg Not best pics but again you may get the general gist of it, had a smash around with a hammer and fork truck, boot now shuts and opens with a gap of this much lol.. But have a panel beater coming too work some magic so not so fussed just thought I'd have a bash - panel beating really ain't my thing. http://i40.tinypic.com/2hdtbww.jpg Yes I can fit my hand basically all around it...... lee grout
http://i39.tinypic.com/2qc15xe.jpg That's some mental rust! I know its always a surprise to move a panel and reveal a bit of rust but bloody hell lol And with a rusty patch on the bootlid anyway.....perfect time to get a clean one. Hope the repairs go well.
