Recommended Posts

I have been given through work an original iphone as a work backup phone.

Does anyone know about unlocking them without jail breaking them? as its on the wrong network.

As its a spare, and so old I don't really want to have to pay out any dosh :pancake:

have you tried a hammer?

Don't think you can do it without jailbreak first 'cos you can't get to the apps you need unless you do. All the apps you need are free though, so it won't cost anything to unlock it yourself.

If your concerned about doing the JB yourself....

I did a little investigating into jailbreaking when I did my sons old ip3 and ipod, its as straight forward as the whole Android rooting proceedure (I could manage it so that should speak volumes) and afaik its reversible afterwards if you so wish too after unlocking.
