Stu
Something for the nerds.. I've built a miniature engine dyno.. for testing miniature engines.. for r/c racers.. It's a proper brake dyno, like a full size one, and uses the principle of eddy currents to brake/load the engine. Not finished yet, got a few sensors to sort out and bugfix the software on the PC.. but in the end it'll do proper automated or manual testing.. eetaylog
Just kidding. I actually quite like that! How did you interface the sensors to the software?
Stu
A friend of mine made the DAQ board and I wrote the PC software to talk to it. It's not finished yet, lots to do!

SteveB
How are you going to calibrate that - falling weight maybe?
Stu
How are you going to calibrate that - falling weight maybe? Yeah there's a calibration point on the lever arm.
Stu
A bit of data.. still lots of work to be done on the software and a few hardware issues to resolve (noise related)..
