scottishstu Posted December 8, 2013 Share Posted December 8, 2013 right guys been a while since been on here but looking for some advise a recently bought a mk5 escort but previous owner has put mk6 engine in cut long story short a got told through3 people that a trust was running and tax dics just ran oot in july? so very possible? any way wires are a riot!!! its defo not getting fuel to the rails the engine turns over nice but wont fire due to no fuel? also no lights on dash so looking for ideas! were to start? or anyone near motherwell wanna come bail me out ill pay of course! a really dont wanna break it "reid" has helped me in the past but ive lost his details he still on here? thanks stuart Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fuses ok, Tried couple relays, tried re-setting the fuel cut off switch all ok. Tried bypassing the relay and still wont work. The suspect now is possible dodgy fuse box or snagged wiring somewhere to the pump. Try all that on yours , you may have more luck than me! Try all that on yours , you may have more luck than me! when a fuse box goes wrong it's normally a lot of things that don't work not just one circuit you need to establish this first ,it wont start until the pump works i'm going through this with lee at the moment he has a similar issue ,try bridging the relay this will show if its a relay fault would also need to test for live feeds with a test light at fuse box and pump Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
