Then driving back with Marcus and Mike, as we got onto the A2 Mike shot off. Still We went down to the seafront at Herne bay and got some crub aswell. Going the wrong way along fast entrance roads etc etc etc Well glad no cars were turning in. Sorry to keep taking the lead .... was hoping there'd be a tad more chopping and changing. I thought the location was ok, but needed a large area set aside for us, to avoid the whole spilt group scenario. Good food. Dave ya fast bastid! Good to meet Chris Si properly, and joe (keNtish boyracer). Toooooo much of London to remember! Blimey turned up just as I was leaving so had to cane it to catch you all up... finally did by the Tower of LOndon! LMAO @ a couple of us stopping in Whitehall, then the rest of ya (following Jon) join us by U-turning in one of the more terrorist-sensitive areas in the world! Good news that Constitution Hill was open - that's the long straight road leading up to Buck House. Park lane was worth a visit too! Must apologise for leading you all down Picadilly! But you saw Picadilly Circus so ended up a good mistake! Then headed back onto Embankment, and had some punks try it in a new bmw! Fantastic race! He changed out of 1st too early so I got an advantage there..... fortunately the second set of lights ahead were red so stopped and let the convoy catch up! Few words of mutual respect bimmer -> escort were passed! The bloke was shocked to have been beaten by a 90bhp 1.6! Good to see they stayed with us all the way to McD's, along with that random Focus! Finally got to spank it round that roundabout! But tarmac felt damn slippery, probably cos I was driving on the dirty inside! Turned off when I saw security walking down! Turning round in the hotel entrance was a classic! Is there anyone who didn't spin up / redline it? Big shout out to Marc (JUB) for suggesting (and leading to) McD's just outside Canary Wharf. Good to chat with virtually everyone for the rest of the night. Glad everyone ('cept one! ) had a safe journey. Engine must be nearly run in now Marcus, look forward to see what the result it produces Marjorly lookin' forward to this weekend! Sonic Posted February 14, 2005 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Wow, what a night! Although it seems ok now I had a real struggle to start my car for work this morning. I think those outside/inside neons, fog lights, heater, wipers, stereo etc etc drained the fcuk out of my battery, but after about 5 attempts it fired up. I was very happy too as I didn't have to get the 'orrible bus on possibly one of the coldest mornings I have felt for a while. Still, would I have done last night again? Hell yeah..... Well, it was hard walking into a strange pub on my own, let alone trying to figure out who was the EVO bunch, but after a few quick-fire questions I found you out! I must admit I was kinda nervous having not met anyone before so my apologies for anybody I didn't talk to/introduce myself to. (Kirsty, I just found out about your car, I'm so sorry. Now I know why you looked so down. Hope things get better for you.) The Blackwall tunnel was awesome, I wound the window down just to hear the noise! And the underground roundabout was a riot. I kept seeing the same white car trying to join everytime I went past him again, and again, and again! Kept getting split up with the changing lights, I jumped so many I lost count. (I aint got anyones number see, so if I lost the convoy I'd be Mofo'd) The Hotel was great, I was last in the convoy so I spun it up and gave the local security something to remember me by! My thanks go out to a certain C2 Owner who helped us rejoin the convoy after getting caught at a set of lights, cheers mate. Maccie D's park-up was great and a nice way to end the night, sorry again for jumpin in the car after a while, but I was so damm cold I couldn't feel my toes! I am glad to say my Maccie D's was considerably better than the pub food I heard about. No pubes in my nuggets. The chips tasted kinda salty thou...
