ok i'v decided i want to get a decent alarm. and i'd prefer clifford as you get a carbon fibre style fob.

what do u recommend? and also what price is good for what model.

i;ve seen a concept 450 fitted anywhere in the country for £325

and a concept 550 for £400

i can also get a solaris 5 with remote start for £475, but i have to go to them (london for these prices)

anyone know anywhere good in sussex?

dont be drawn in by silly features, lets not forget this is protect your car, nothing else. :) :thumb:

you also wont get a cat1 discount (well nothing much on an escort :)

my GTi had a Clifford matrix, £200 fitted, done everything you need, alarmed the door, locked/unlocked the car, and popped the boot

I have a Toad Ai606 and it only cost me £125 and they are excellent. Most alarms/immobilisers can be wired up to have remote start (if they are decent), but you dont want to do that, ones with remote start loose their Cat 1 rating. Not many places give you a discount for Cat1, its just for piece of mind really rather than cheaper insurance.

mines a toad....altho i dont know wot model number, any1 know how i can find out? ?( but its coupled with a 2 way boomerang pager system :) has loads of features but the best bit definitely is the 2 way system, lets me know if sum1 is trying to break in, open door etc :thumb: Edited by Scotteh
