tidykart Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 Slightly confused me how even though all they said about it being better than the golf when it comes to all round they dont rate it as high that was what I said after watching the review. They said it's the best all the way through and then Plato says it's not quite as good as the Golf!! WHAT!! It's cheaper, every review I've read on seen says it is better quality, and the Focus chassis is best in class by a mile, and the GTi doesn't even have colour coded bumpers. I think they were actually talking about that orange paint- because that is hidious See 5th gear can't even make a proper decsion-every magazine, newspaper and TV review I've seen of the ST says it's better than the Golf- which is obviously is. Oh ye one more rant about 5th gear- is it not an exact copy of Top Gear- the layout. In a office type thing, talking informally, now an hour show, and they now have a track with which of course the times then go onto a leader-board- seem familiar!! foxdie Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 5th gearreally isn't in the same league as top gear IMO, but what i do like is there reviews on normal affordable cars, rather than ones im never likely to afford. but to be honest its no worse than the rest of Shite on TV these days. Will always watch it for aslong as Tiff presents it. Unfortunately they are trying to get more like top gear with the differernt "things" like the london track and road block destroying. im like c'mon, do something we want to see like a hot hatch shoot out. Mike C Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 Tiff's a great closed environment driver, but a naff presenter, Plato is the worst presenter ever the 3 on top gear are streets ahead, and whilst he may be good, Stig beats Tiff hands down and the program is far more entertianing. If I wanted to find out what a Seat Arosa was like, I'd go test drive one, I don't care about "affordable" cars, I can find out about 'em myself, I'd much rather watch summat decent and entertaining, that's what TV is for Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We'd all drive escorts that look identical to yours, but still never quite be as good as yours. All work 48hours days and slit our wrists at the latest inconvenience.
