escort_16v
Anyone meshed a mk5 smiley grill before if so how hard was it, also heard some people say they have used mesh from B&Q is this stuff any good? as wouldn't need too much to do it so would'nt want the large bits that car shops sell. T9BY G
I meshed my old mk5 grill using aluminium mesh from my dads company ( best place for stuff like that www.goodingalum.com) but it lost its shine after a while. He said I should use anodised aluminium coz that will stay looking like new. Im meshing my mk6 in a couple of days with the stuff, ill post some pics soon
escort_16v
So how hard is it to mesh this grill? The how to bit on home page only gives instructions for mk6
sortedford
not hard mate, cut the mesh about 1 inch bigger all the way round, and then bend it and fix in place with sicca flex
