driving along a very busy main road (leads right into/out of the city centre) at 4.30pm cars were head to tail but moving pretty quickly, next thing this pug 206 slams on the anchors infront of me in an attempt to turn into a street that it was just about past. she indicated just as i hit her.

its was 2 young woman in the car (lesbians, they were kissing etc) and the driver jumped out of the car and ran towards me waving her arms about and screaming at me "i was trying to ****ing turn" - ****ing idiot.

if you look at my car (dan escorts old 3door - JUST got it back on the road as well!) you'll see ive tried to get around her but there were parked cars one way and oncoming cars the other so there was no choice but to go into her.

Police arrived (a fella and a woman) the woman took a statement from them and the fella took all my details, gave me a horty (7 day producer) and didnt care about my side of the story, "stop, its ok, we know what happened". he spoke to me as if i had just been caught drink driving! imo he had already decided that just like every other young lad i was speeding/on the fone/smoking/scratching my arse/or doing something else i shouldnt have been.

luckily there were 2 witnesses that seen everything and have confirmed that the pug actually skidded to a halt to try make the corner, just hope the insurance takes it that way since i was driving the car that hit from the back.

funnily enough as soon as the police turned up the 2 woman started suffering from terrible back and neck pains (didnt stop her jumping into the car to get her phone when it rang) and both went away in ambulances. on checking me and the mrs over he told us that from his opinion they were acting up, turned out he knew the 2 of them were student nurses and had spent the last few weeks in the nearby hospital!

a few pics of the pug, that seemed to stand up well considering the escort. i was no faster than (if even) 35mph, but the escort seemed to just crumple!

tbh i would say it was your faulty. You have already said that everyone was travelling to close together quite quickly. They may have had to break sharply for a junction, but it could well have been a child stepping into the road that they broke for. You were to close to the car in front to safely come to a stop. If it was a main busy road, as you said it was one that enters the city center, it will have been a 30mph road, yet you stated you were travelling at 35mph.

Insurance will decide with the lezzers.

no i stated;

i was no faster than (if even) 35mph

ie. im 99% sure i was obeying the limit, if i wasnt i was borderline over it, but again, im sure i was driving AT the limit. (there are always police on the road with speed guns so its not worth speeding)

being too close could be the only thing i feel is my fault, but i was no closer than she was to the car infront or the car behind me was to me. if she wouldnt have actually SKIDDED to a halt then i would never have hit her.

Fook man Unlucky! I would say its a 50 / 50 incident, yours for traveling to fast and to close, and there's fro turning to late. But at least you've got the witnesses on your side - did you get statements and details from them? And I would say fook the two girlies and don't back down with the insurance company!

You WILL loose out.

I smashed into the back of a car at a zebra crossing had some sort of dizzy moment (side effects from anti depressants) at 40mph, i tried to say she pulled out the side road (which is immeadately before the crossing ) and then slammed on... the reply i got ' you collided with the rear of another car ' you were either travelling too close, not paying attention to the road and other road users, or not driving according the road conditions (weather)

Bye bye no claims for me. and my hip still locks up and i cant walk properly.

Hope you were wearing a seatbelt, i didnt, airbag didnt taste good, but i suppose yours didnt go off.

Used to have some fun in that with Dan pimpin it round Rugby town.. LOL

Lets hope you declared that engine conversion ;) :pancake:

thinking back, i obviously was too close, which is no ones fault but my own. but it was rush hour and i wasnt driving carelessly, skidding to make a turn is a dangerous manoevre (sp?) which she should get her balls kicked for, but all in all it'll be my insurance that cops it.

better lube up early for nextyears renewal!
