quackers
I come back from work to this Apparently a van tried to do a u turn, took out a focus, which in turn, smashed my poor old escort to bits and took out a bmw as well! I dont think it's looking good for dave the escort, reckon it's a write off guys?
Guest gti.tom
Sad to say, but yes, any insurance company will write that off. You could always repair it afterwards though.

I've got the details of the focus guy ( who was nice enough to leave me a note ) and the van driver. He's going to phone his insurance tomorrow I'm not sure exactly what i can do now, i phoned my insurance and they basically said to contact the other persons insurance as im third party, fire and theft lol my head is hurting

JC
Sorry to hear that, by insurance it'll be a write off. But depends what damage is done behind the wing and bumper. Have you got motor legal protection? Sue the
Foxy
OH! Why can't people be more careful!! We have cars doing u-turns outside here all the time when it's much quicker and easier just to drive around the block. So sorry; I hope it can be fixed but it doesn't look too wonderful. VictorG
for less than £150 you could repair it dude, dont even bother claiming give em the option to repair it, if the van didnt physically toutch your car he may have caused the accident but the focus driver hit your car dude, he/she is at fault. Give them the option to pay for the damages, alot of people dont wanna go via insurance due to NCB loss etc. To me that looks like its a new wing/front panel/bumper/bonnet & headlamp and jobs a goodun, but as said above possibly a new peice of inner-wing will be required but from a scrappy they will cut one out for you and you get it welded back into place. Quite safe todo-so but depends weather its a ford escort or YOUR ford Escort, i know if someone hit my RST or my Si i'd make them pay for a professional re-build and throw some new mods ontop aswell... On the downside does it have GTi Skirts & Spats? if so ill have them off you if they scrap it, tell em they were stolen too

neil
Looks like the tyre is flat as well which could point to suspension damage/bent. If its not your fault go through insurance every time. ou should have nothing to lose.
