escort4x4
my advice buddy is to keep your car standard for the time being to build up your no claims. remember insurance goes by ur age, experience and no claims also price depends on where you live, if you live in a area insurers do not like young drivers, especially with modifications because at a young age they seem to think that you will make a claim. Now it is up to you but i did not notify my insurers about my mods which at the time was 4" bck box, k&n air filter, wheels and lexus lights. now i had a accident luckily i had all the spare parts to whip back on, that is a option, but if you have a accident make sure you have the spare parts ready to put back on if you can, also be careful if you get tugged by the police. You could take a pass plus course which will help with insurance then take the advanced driving which will help dramatically. But like i say keep car standard, collect your bits then after a year or so put them on and notify insurance. I find doing all this the best way because modding your car at a young age will only attract boy racers police and thieving gits Now at the age of 21 my escort is highly modifiedill start from front and work me way backits a mk5 facelift 2ltr mondeo engine with racing spec kent camsport and polished inlet manifold of a rs1800stage 3 head including big valves and 3 angle valve seatslightened and balanced flywheelstandard gear boxlowered 60mm on coil oversmondeo 16" alloys (in need of cosworth alloys)escort cosworth bonnetmagnex stainless steel exhaust system cat back and for all that im paying £869 fully comp a year with all modifications notified
