Guest gti.tom
Kid, those people saying dont tell them, ignore that advice, if you did crash and you didnt declare it, you would be well and truly shafted, its not worth it. ive had 2 claims they just send local engineers round they look at the damage and bugger off my car is far from standerd and they havnt said a thing luck of the draw people say but to be onsit i dont think they care You are seriously lucky. Hopefully, when the police stop you, theyll phone your insurance company and check they know about you mods. Result. Your insurance gets cancelled. You have an accident, the police seize your vehicle. Result. You get completely done over in court. Why the hell should I have to pay more for my mods etc and you think you're different to the rest? Idiot.
Apnea
Mate, go to the comparison websites, instead of ringing, and quoting for a single insurer, thats a massive waste of time; www.moneysupermarket.comwww.gocompare.comwww.comparethemarket.comwww.confused.com try all of them, yes they take a few minutes, but well worth it. good luck. Well if your insurance is invalid and you are responsible for a crash, the third party wont get anything either... and that could be one of us! You going to prison doesn't pay for replacement cars and medical bills fella.

Pete
Insurance is a load of shite these days anyway. The two shunts I've had, it has worked out cheaper for me to pay for the repairs compared to the loading of my policy if I claimed. Made me think why the fcuk I bothered I do agree that insurance for new drivers these days is scandalous. I remember paying £1400 on my 1.3 Nova SR at 17 and thought that was bad

JC
Its ok now guys, car going back to standard shame, but fair play to you staying legal! I'm sure there are some small cosmetic things you could concentrate on.. "non performance enhancing" that will look good and insurance won't mind about

Then backbox and suspension is being changed when i get back to work monday Its a shame but i just want to be on the road to be honest Will maybe concentrate on simple things like colour coding
meekstaaa
its a good idea to keep it standard. After a while once your used to driving phone them back up and just say you have these bits and you want to fit them but wanna do it legally and then add them as soon as you can? don't sell the bits just keep them stored til you can use them

And if you run over somebodies mother, they sue, insurance company will simply say, "We're not covering you", and then you'll end up paying out of your own pocket. These days run over people tend to sue for £50,000 plus. Enjoy. How you putting it back to standard when the car is in a police pound being checked for roadworthiness and when the police at the scene has written the mods in his report book. Oh, incase you didnt know, that's the report book your insurance company get a copy of. You are a clown.
