i think fancy plates are so out of date a standerd plate with a gb bagde is ok. if u have a nice looking car

will a plate matter also plates now need a code in the bottom right corner or u will fail mot

Never had that & never failed yet, as long as the plate isnt damaged its up to the police not the tester.

are the german plates alot of people are using now illegal?

?( ?(

Please dont reply with only smileys.

I get my plates from this guy hensonian5@yahoo.co.uk , email him & tell him what you want (mention PeeWee from EscortEVOlution sent you). Reply`s with an sample & costs 13 quid posted per pair.

if u look on most new cars u will see some letters and numbers in the right hand corner at the bottom

places like halfords/autocare or any other place that makes plate that are legal will have this at the bottom when ever making them old/or and have been told that it will affect mot / but i spose most mot places wont care

yeh cant see a big problem with these tho as the letter font and style is perfectly legal and spacing the only thing is moving away from the standard symbol on the left.

You may not be able to see the problem, but they are not legal! And can be enforced with a £30 fine.....

perhaps you should read this:

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/v796.pdf

a brief little guide or if you want more info read: section 23 vehicle excise and regulation act 1994, road regulations 2002 and regulation 3 road vehicles regulations 2001

if u click on link and go to brtish standerd this is what im talkin about :thumb:

I've got carbon fibre font, which is legal :)

really??! i'd very much doubt they're legal :O

Yeah, you can't tell unless you get up really close anyway.

I'll see if i can find it written. (They're still in the British Standards Typeface)
