My Ford Escort 1.4

Recommended Posts

Bought this car around 2 month ago only done a couple of things to it although it isn't drivable though yet, requires me to have past my test lmao but hazard perception seems to be my problem :/

I paid next to nothing for the car with only 66,000 miles on the clock i have had my mechanic look at the car, I am learning as much as i possibly can about it and it's components so as i said in the topic description go easy on me. My plans are to make this old car into something different may take some time but it will get there as my inspirations are driving me forward!

Pictures coming soon due to loss of memory card, can't remember where I put it :/

Its nothing special like but not many cars are when they have just been bought. It had been smashed into while parked but the body work requires alot of attention still.

how much did you actually pay for it? (if you dont mind me asking)

I paid £100 for it off a friend he paid £500 i think for it never drove it just put the front bumper wing and light on it then lost interest was going to scrap it so i thought i will have it.

whats the plans for the car as well you going to be cahnging any of the accesories around?

Made a few changes already just need to get more organised and get some other stuff sorted lol then pics will be uploaded.

Bet that will be rapid... :innocent:

Seriously... good luck on your test, these 1.4s are ideal new driver runabouts! :thumb:

Thank you it is a pain in the ass is the test :/ and yh had a bash of it already got some power in it.

Wont take long to tidy that up, could be a tidy car.

Cheap mods & subtle cheap parts from our "for sale" section will cost pennies.

Good luck with that test. :thumb:

Cleaned it inside of the car done a bit of work like

New kenwood stereo

New Speaker

New mats

Lick of primer and spray paint.

more to come i hope lol

that looks alright mate. couple of rear doors bonnet and cc bumpers with fogs would tidy it up well, then maybe some skirts spats and wheels, and get the front wing sprayed up . your onto a winner.

Yes working on getting the bodywork sorted but hard trying to budget to make sure i have the money there for insurance when/if i pass.

A few more images I have taken when I first got the car.

The car did not start when I first got it, it only turned out it was the battery when that was replaced it was fitted with an alarm that no matter what would not turn off. That was removed and a new alarm will be added at a later date.

This is where the alarm was fitted:

Here is where the crash took place some people can't drive therefore drove into a parked car :@
