Well i used to own an escort before, and had a lot of fun with it and meeting people because of it, so decided to get one again. Wont be doing much this side of Christmas really, just collecting parts and little bits. Only got a few pics before i had to wrap it up from the rain on the first day of collecting.

Got myself an engine Managed to get myself a full FRST setup, with a T3 instead of a T2 for a bargain price and it seemed silly not to.

Had a look tonight to see what i was up against... Turns out show cars rust too...It didnt look too bad to start, but you start knocking bits out and suddenly it gets worse and worse.

Twas a lovely car when it was complete, Most people would be scared off it due to the amount of parts that need sourcing for it, best just to buy a whole car as a donor for the bits, the one reason to buy this car though is the well fitted cossie arches

If it wasnt for the kit i wouldnt have bothered. I wont be buying a whole car though, engine ive already sourced and i wont really need much else off a standard car so bit pointless buying one really. Lots of the interior parts are already there, its just the dash section that isnt really, which im tempted to replace with one from a different car anyway so that wont be a problem. Hopefully i'll be able to take it back to the standard it was, but less for show and more for use.

Yup they are in the drivers footwell. You're the second person to say that. The only other suggestion i've had is that they are for auto door locking at a certain speed which i didn't realise escorts had.
