Frostic
Well i used to own an escort before, and had a lot of fun with it and meeting people because of it, so decided to get one again. Wont be doing much this side of Christmas really, just collecting parts and little bits. Only got a few pics before i had to wrap it up from the rain on the first day of collecting. http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0449.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0448.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0447.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0446.jpg Uncovered the car to go through what was with it, and move it all into the shed. Box of bits i got with it, including spacers: http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0451.jpg Dashless, and wiring is a mess: http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0453.jpg The old white headlining. It was really well done, but me and white arent going to get on.. It gets dirty too fast: http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0454.jpg Random bits on the back seats, including a new boot i was given with the car, because the one on it is rotten through: http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0455.jpg And lastly, i found out the whale tale i was given by Dan isn't a great fit, so my brother came up with a better idea for it :lol : http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0456.jpg Got myself an engine Managed to get myself a full FRST setup, with a T3 instead of a T2 for a bargain price and it seemed silly not to.Some pics from the breaking thread of the FRST: http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/DSC00144.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/DSC00141.jpg The car now has a new home Not perfect, but it should keep it dry and theres plenty of room around it to work: http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0462.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0461.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0463.jpg Had a look tonight to see what i was up against... Turns out show cars rust too...It didnt look too bad to start, but you start knocking bits out and suddenly it gets worse and worse. http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0469.jpg No spare wheels here:http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0470.jpg Amazing what carpets and underseal hide http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0471.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0472.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0473.jpghttp://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0474.jpg Thought id take a look at the wiring tonight, see how bad it is and start on the tidy up: Isnt this for the airbags? -http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0475.jpg An interesting way of putting in fuses:http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0476.jpg Ooh a heated front windscreen... Wait... thats not right -http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0477.jpg Some of the crap i cut out from the old alarm/speakers etc-http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0479.jpg And finally, does anyone know what these are for?-http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae87/Frostical/Escort2/IMG_0478.jpg

lee grout
Good to see someone has picked this up. Its a shame what lurks beneath what was once a lovely exterior. Hope to see plenty of pics of it returning to glory.

Craig855S
Twas a lovely car when it was complete, Most people would be scared off it due to the amount of parts that need sourcing for it, best just to buy a whole car as a donor for the bits, the one reason to buy this car though is the well fitted cossie arches

I wont be buying a whole car though, engine ive already sourced and i wont really need much else off a standard car so bit pointless buying one really. Lots of the interior parts are already there, its just the dash section that isnt really, which im tempted to replace with one from a different car anyway so that wont be a problem. Hopefully i'll be able to take it back to the standard it was, but less for show and more for use.
escortedal
if they plugs are in the drivers footwell then are they not the bits to fit the brown headlight relay to make the indys flash when locking the car?

Yup they are in the drivers footwell. You're the second person to say that. The only other suggestion i've had is that they are for auto door locking at a certain speed which i didn't realise escorts had.
