danposs86
Poor show dan, get rid of that spare wheel and get some of this: I'll leave it in till I get new wheels, can easily take the spare out when I get to the track.

Pretty much nail on the head there. My money will mainly be going towards improving the handling. Koni adjustables, lower front strut brace and a full polybush kit are on the cards within the next few months or 7 lol.

rs2k2008
the cheapest things about track days now is buying a car. LAst time i went down santa pod it was something like £15 for 3 runs. I think if track days were a bit cheaper, and more accesiable then it would take a lot fo young racers of to road IMO....
reid
dan what the fcuk you doing? the motor was looking awesome until you went spastic and started ripping things out! personally i wouldnt be stripping a car that i would be using more as a daily runner than a track car. im planning on having a track car but it will be that - a track car, and nothing but, so it'll be stripped to the balls and thats that. but i wouldnt (and couldnt handle) strip a daily driver. but i suppose, your a tad more retarded than i am. danposs86
Well, at the moment my place of work is about a 2 minute walk from my house, so my car is only used for pleasure. All the bits i took out are going into storage, already wrapped up to keep them dry and clean. The whole purpose of me buying a 3 door was to make it into a car i could enjoy, and with motorists being hit hard if they drive enthusiastically on the roads, the only way i can truely enjoy myself, put my foot down, is on he track. I can only afford to buy and insure one car, and as I was a moderator on the best Escort owners club, it had to be an Escort, funds wouldnt allow an RS2000, so went for an Si, same as a gti, but cheaper insurance and lesser interior, which I was planning on removing anyway.
