wwwd
Always wanted to know how to do this effect. I'm sure you've all seen an example of this. Basically a chosen object in the photograph is in colour, but the rest of the picture is in black and white. I've seen someone post a few pictures on Facebook with this effect, so surely it can't be that hard. So does anyone know the easiest way to do this? "object selection tool" - outline the object to remain coloured <left click on selection> - copy "hue&saturation" adjust properties of entire original image until you have a appropriate "grayscale" image <left click> - paste (original object appears) simply maneouver to desire position on grayscaled picturehttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/20642.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/20643.jpg
karl
if you want to turn something to black and white... select what you want then select "desaturate" and that'll remove all colour, leaving you with a perfect black and white
wwwd
Isn't there an automated way to do this?
puggtiracer
Isn't there an automated way to do this? Select the item you want to keep coloured, press (I think) Ctrl+I (select inverse) and desaturate - I think that's as automated as it gets? geordie_aaron
There must be a way graphic software can 'identify' a certain colour and then make the rest black and white?do all the above - there is a way of doing what you've said..... but FAR quicker doing the above. i duplicate layer, desaturate top one and 'erase/select/cut' to my needs and delete selection
