dutchkev
was coming out of fueling up in morrisons, pulled out by the shop when an eejit rammed straight into the back of me. i swerved and luckily managed to get just the bumper hit instead of the back door, but he physically lifted the passenger side of the car off the floor, making the car bump and we then had to slide over his bumper to move away http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh56/dutchkev/DSC_0279-1.jpg http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh56/dutchkev/DSC_0277.jpg his mate is coming over saturday to try and mop out the scratch, will see what can be done before we take matters further with the insurers, but if we have to go insurance route, i am going to refuse the car being written off thats for sure!! he claimed he didnt see me as i was in his blind spot (he was in a berlingo van) but how can you miss an 8ft silver lump of metal in front of you??! geordie_aaron
why would they write the car off for a scratched bumper? how much is the car worth lol also that wont map out - you can see how deep the scratches are
sortedford
Id push for it to be written off Kev, buy it back nice and cheap then lol
Craig855S
Not phoning the insurers within 24 hours will Fcuk you over. I'd be wary of what ur doing. Either get cash out of the guy to sort the bumper out or get the insurers on the case today
dutchkev
thanks craig, i'll call the insurers tomorrow, just incase then. i didnt want to tell my insurers as i dont want any more probs due to my fault accident before dan, i had right of way, he pulled out into the side of me, making him in the wrong, kinda hard to describe, will do a crude paint later aaron, the bumper to buy is around £400 (genuine) then respray costs, car isnt worth much!
