LiamGTR
Yea you will notice your plans will have been done a fair few times (including my car for now). Might just be me being daft but since you have what looks like a really tidy GTI why not dedicate it to that? I.e. making it a spotless GTI? and maybe the only mod being lowering it 40mm? Hmm I am liking that idea, keep it simple but clean! Well I will be getting the arches done at my local body shop in the spring, and may look to get another bonnet as this one has taken a battering (bloody stones).Though I am keen on a stainless exhaust at some point, along with the 40mm drop. garyw1980
That I know of so far I need to replace the inlet manifold, sideskirts and spats, spray the front bumper, and sort out some wiring issues, all fairly straightforward stuff but Monday (with a bit of luck) will see it up on the ramps and knowing my luck the horror story will begin lol

All in prep for the mot in April, its a shame coz that money could been spent on better things lol.

EscortPaul
Hi Just a quick update. Not done to much this last week due to the car needing some serious work underside. Needed both near and offside rear chassis rails repairing. Both had holes and lots of rust so was all cut out and replaced with shiny new steel! Repair bill £300 cash! Pics belowhttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/22888.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/22889.jpg I did though manage to get a newer tailgate yesterday with zero rust under the spoiler and the same colour to boot. Also the guy had a chrome number plate surround going for a fiver, so I quickly snatched that too. All fitted and aligned in one afternoon. Still got some more welding on the front jacking points both sides to do yet, before I start on the cosmetics!

EscortPaul
Hi all Been a little quiet lately due to needing some welding done, but glad to report its all finished on the front floor pans and just had some time to do a couple of quick little mods. New chrome door handles and number plate surround, later this week I will be collecting a stainless exhaust system and will post the update.
