cheers for the comments, will keep the pics coming.

about the brakes, but you dont actually need really big rears as the fronts do most of the work.will have drums on for now but once the car is up and running and m,o,t then i will source some discs for the back.i have a set of sierra cosworth 280mm discs for the front with granada calipiers.

right heres some pics from today, got a couple more strenghtening braces put in.one round the front of the petrol tank which also will carry mounts for the rear seat and a couple of diagonals to brace the beam mounting points through the frame.would rather it be over engineered.

also started making templates for the rear section of floor.this will seat between the new chassis rails.there wont be much boot floor as the new wheel tubs will be 15" wide.

I think the point was made more towards aesthetics, rather than purpose! Drums or small discs are gonna look shockingly small behind 20" wheels!

I have 18s with 300mm discs at the front, and although they look ok, they don't look big!

I'd suggest anything below 280 at the very minimum behind 20s will look puny!

yes i see what you are getting at.i do have some 320mm disc,s somewhere. i could fit these and fit a brake bias control in the new brake lines then i could adjust the rear brakes to suit.then i would need to sort out a handbrake.i will get on this this week.

normally, when someone says somthing like this, it never gets done - but from what ive seen this far, somthing tells me you will!

yes more pics tomorrow, got the boot floor cut out of new sheet metal tonight.been a slight change here as now going to mount an amp and power cap recessed into the new floor panel so that it remains flat.will fold the floor up in the next couple of days at work.i will then fold up some boxes to hold the amp and power cap and then weld them into the new floor.also striped the remaining brackets of the engine ready for blasting.cheers for all the comments i wiil do my best to keep the pics coming.regarding the rear brakes i have a pair of 310mm disc,s that would work but due to the time crunch in building the car somethings will have to be left till its on the road.

been following this on passionford, look's good dude, but with all that fab work your doing, you might aswel of converted to rwd. make it all worth it...?

To be fair, RWD wouldn't make the car "worth it"

...RWD wouldn't make the car drive any better, or handle any better! I'm sure the whole purpose of this car is to turn heads, and it's gonna do that parked up or driving, so IMHO it makes no difference which wheels drive it!

...Not only that, could you imagine the transmission loss through a prop shaft and then through 20" wheels? :O

...I can't wait to see more progress, and I'm VERY impressed at how quickly the progress is being made!!!!!
