protouring mk6
yeah saw the estate about a year ago.why dont they look after them.it took a lot of work to do, every thing on it was custom made.guy who was taking pics for fastcar at ford fair 2003 said it was his car of the show because it was a proper custom.my own stuff seems to be a bit to wild for most,it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing. McRic
At first I read this and thought why, now I realize it doesn't really matter. Looking forward to the outcome. A pretty short timescale for such a large project, all the best should be interesting once done.

Craig855S
WOW!! Nice to see a mk6 getting the true "different" treatment. It won't be a good car but it will certainly be well made. the bonnet vents look fantastic, like theyre from a monaro VXR.
protouring mk6
yeah, the bonnet is styled of the manaro vxr.saw one at auto sport show.
protouring mk6
got a bit done today.got all the lazor cuts welded in so the beam is now mounted.http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/fastty01/IMGP3575.jpghttp://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/fastty01/IMGP3576.jpghttp://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/fastty01/IMGP3582.jpghttp://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/fastty01/IMGP3581.jpgstill a bit to do here but it is basically all in.as the beam has been narrowed the mk6 fuel tank wont fit so useing a mk5 fiesta tank.this fits perfect in the space between the new chassis rails.its 15mm taller than the escort one but is no problem as all the floors will be custom made.got it all mounted in place and even the sender unit out the escort tank fits.http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/fastty01/IMGP3585.jpghttp://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk77/fastty01/IMGP3590.jpgthe only thing is the fuel filler hole is on the opposite side of the tank,no problem as i was going to relocate it any way to clean up driver side back wing.is all thats left to do is tie in the new chassis rails to the rear panel, will do this tomorrow then i can start redoing the floor. Stu
If you keep the fiesta sender unit, you can use the later Escort clocks with the digital odometer.
