Jordan99940
Can i ask why you're going mfi and not efi? A FRST engine is considerably more expensive to get 200bhp from than an ERST one... which is why I suggested the ERST route.. Don't listen to the "oh just buy a 195 chip and you're set" brigade.. in reality for an honest 200bhp you'll need injectors/map sensor/custom chip/OFAB management.. probably budget near on a grand for that including labour with a decent tuner.. is this if i get a FRST You'll need a larger turbine housing on the standard T3 whatever you do if you want an honest 200 brake.. and a decent intercooler.. And this if i get a ERST? I'm assuming others, what else needs to be done to achieve this, how does MFi work ? Yes. Yes. 200bhp on MFI = working KE metering unit, -31 actuator, .48 exhaust housing, decent intercooler, suitable chip (recommend AB) and setup, CVH34 cam helps to. Ahmotorsport
Got down work this morning, Dad had to go out at 10:30am, so whilst sitting there, freezing my ass off. I decided, i know, why don't i make it worse for myself and go outside and start stripping this fecking engine. So i did. I still can't feel my feet. Anyway. Inlet off.http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1114_01.jpg Injectoooors.http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1114.jpg Why hello.http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1120.jpg Rocker off.http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1133.jpg Pistonshttp://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1148.jpg Headhttp://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1144.jpg Combustion chambers.http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P161211_1204.jpg Cam and Pulley are no good, but other than that it's okay. Ahmotorsport
Not much to report, don't get much done on Saturdays as everyone comes down to say hello. Got the gearbox off the block though. "Freshly rebuilt" the water pump, cam belt and tensioner were absolutely fecked + Cam and pulley, not looking good so far. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/P171211_1456.jpg
