Well I have sent a few e-mails to various people I know who may be able to help I may have also found some oversized pistons, I have got Chris to get some pictures of the wear so I can email the bloke and show him. I don't think I will get rid of the escort yet and of I did I have looked at a mk4 TDi golf but I don't think I will, also maybe looking at other parts on eBay I.e. maybe just bottom ends and rubbish. 5yrs in a back of a garage ,no wonder its fcuked ,i bet everythings seized ,seen you coming mate Your thinking being sat in the back of a garage caused all those problems? Sitting in a garage probably wouldn't seize it plus we was rebuilding it so wasn't going to be an issue how ever this takes thr proverbial... Scort_CVH Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 If your putting pistons in build a zetec turbo fs :L sounds like that engine was mfi so waste of time anyway the mfi is a pain to get running/find a decent system. 2.0 blacktop £100Frs mk1 pistons and rods with rings on 2nd hand £150Then a freshen up of everythingStandard zetec inlet blah blah I sold a good efi engine wi t2 cam, t3 turbo and mani for £150 cos I wasn't arsed so look about for a good one Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
