the_big_man
Evening all,Firstly i would like to say that i am new here so please be gentle!!Where do i begin? I've wanted an Escort for years after my ex moaned at me for a sensible car. So cafter having a corsa (rank) & a Polo (slow + boring!) i've returned to the blue oval with a Escort Finesse 16v...WOOHOO!!! Bought for the grand price of £206 of eBay. Normally these cars are quite rotten for that money but it had an MOT today and it passed with only an advisory about rot on the sills. SO.Here she is from when i started taking pictures of her today + things i have bought + fitted already! http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0533.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0534.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0536.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0537.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0538.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0539.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0540.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0543.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0544.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0545.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0547.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0548.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0549.jpghttp://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/the_big_man1/IMG_0550.jpg just a quick one, magnex 4" outward rolled back box,k&n air filter,16" mondeo 5 spoke alloys,40mm lowering springs (being fitted saturday at work!),gti rear spats (require painting + fitting),rs2000 side skirts (require painting + fitting),gti front bumper (requires purchasing!)gti interior being fitted next weekend so not much in only owning the car 26 hours!!! how difficult is it to put a 2.0 mondeo block in btw??my friend (fiestasiphil) put one into his Mk3 Fiesta Si, want to do the same! 90 bhp is not enough Also i'm a mechanic by trade so fitting is no issue its just the wiring side of things
lee grout
Welcome to Evo. Most on here are quite nice so I'm sure someone can help with the wiring. Not bad for £206, Sort your rusty sills and the bubbling on the arch and once you've all ya bits fitted will look nice. Nice colour too.

the_big_man
just a quick question with regards to the 2.0 litre ecu, do i need a specific code ecu or does it just need to be a non pats ecu? only my mate who has a 2.0 in his si fiesta said he was told to use a 'deep' ecu or something else beginning with a d! Only my local scrappy has quite a few mk1 mondys but not with the 'deep' ecu. There can't be that much differance surely?????
