dalelc16
Now next little job, done a little body work. I bought a escort cosworth bonnet and transformed it to a mk6!I may call it the gtiworth. Bonnet came off a rally car. http://i1365.photobucket.com/albums/r759/dalecollis16/20131017_190935_zpse102af7d.jpg http://i1365.photobucket.com/albums/r759/dalecollis16/20131018_132037_zps55582147.jpg I cut both bonnets and welded the mk6 front to the mk5 bonnet. then fibreglass and first coat filler. needs alot more work yet tho comments welcome Edited October 18, 2013 by dalelc16

SLEEMAN
no offense wouldn't it been easier to just cut the cosworth vents out and weld them to the mk6 bonnet? would have required less welding filler etc
dalelc16
no offense wouldn't it been easier to just cut the cosworth vents out and weld them to the mk6 bonnet? would have required less welding filler etc Mk5 and mk6 bonnets two different bonnets. Mk5 is flatmk6 is curved the suports under the bonnets are in different places.also if you put cossy vents in a mk6 bonnet looks silly because of the shap (already done this along time ago).
