2.1 zetec escort value repaired or not repaired.

hi guys just wanted some peoples opinions really about how much you think my car is worth and whever or not its worth getting repaired or just selling it as it is.

i have a friend who works in the car painting business and has said he can repaint the whole car mate price for £500.00

 

at a guess once painted and get it back on the road getting through mot etc i reckon its gona cost around 1200-1300 in total with the respray.

the engine cost me a hell of alot to build.

 

 

how much do you guys think roughly shes worth it all repaired.

 

and how much do you think shes worth as it is now.

has it been off the road in the same place for all these years? if so get checking underneath for rotting, if there is barely any or minimal that can easily be repaired then its still in good value.

 

most cossie replicas especially with a zetec turbo do go for quite a lot of money theres one currently on ebay listed for £4995 as its been modded a lot inside with bucket seats custom retrim and a lot of speakers but only got a standard 1.8 inside.

 

if you can get your one back to the way it looks with an awesome paint job and the zetec turbo still running perfectly, you could fetch the same or around that price range. many people will disagree on me with the price but I have seen many decent replicas with turbo'd engines go for around a few grand.

 

as it currently stands right now the way it is, you may only get a few hundred up to a grand depending on where you sell.

 

whats the full spec of the engine? some people say you usually get more stripping it down and breaking it

I might be iintrestedin the engine.

 

I sold my rep for 3k, with s2 engine in and with lux seats.

It's not just the paint work, its also what ever rots occured over the last 4/5yrs.

 

The engine might be ok....but in reality will need some work...

 

Tyres will be flat spotted, Brake discs will be corroded up. Calipers might be seized.
