My Escort

Cant believe it, crashed my escort on the way up to Purley Way cruise . Was going up the M23 at about 40mph and hit a pothole, lost control and smashed into the back of a 206 after going across a couple of lanes . The lady i hit was very nice and has agreed to settle it all out of insurance, hopefully there isnt too much expense there. My car, i think is a write off, inside of the bonnet the big steel gurder thing has sheered off from the wing.

 

Looks like i will be car hunting a bit quicker than i thought . Anyway here are the pics, cant begin to tell you how gutted i am .

edit, if it was a pothole, find out about court action. get it all paid for by the council

I think its the fact that the slam panel is bent and has cracked and almost sheared off will make it a write off tbh .

You might get away with it, my GTi had an insurance job done on it, and the bits replaced was the front panel, the bonnet and bumper, headlights, etc.

 

You would just need a new front arch wing to, ya may need new suspension

 

But unlucky, bloody pot holes just goes to show they don't just destroy ya suspension- sos to hear bout that, but cool ya OK.

dunno what the speed limit actually is on that stretch of road... but i presume its a 70 as its a motorway

imagine if you hit it at 70 or fast you could be dead
