If you want a 1.8 over the 2.0 and your not bothered about tuning up much just get the 130 spec 1.8.

The 1.6 1.8 and 2.0 engines are so alike really that i cant see how the 2.0 is less tuneable! Im my opinion from what you say about wanting power when needed but not wanting to breaks speed records, go for a 2.0 transplant and leave it standard appart from a nice exhaust and induction kit and im sure it will satisfy your needs at a low cost.

cool but wont the insurance love me if i go fo the 2.0 god how come its hard

I'm with CIS. Mines a 1.6, going to 2.0 within 2 weeks.

Insurance is currently £1k FC, my Dad is the main driver and the policy is any driver.

Mine's going to go up to £1200, still FC. Classification is gonna change from a UK group 6 car, to an import group 11  :thumb:

cool that price is good lol is that just engine or alll???

It's the engine and all the ancillaries..... oil pump, flywheel and clutch, manifolds, alternator, etc

wot engine is that matey 105, 115, 130?

105, but easily uprated. :D

105 but if your putting a 2l head on it makes no difference.

Yup, the 130 uses the 2L head and cams, so chuck a 2L top on and you have yourself a 130 spec engine, bar the TB and ECU :thumb:
