Ex-Finesse
If you don't want the power all the time, it sounds like nitrous would be the best source of power No hassle with engine swaps! Unless it melts.
j4ffa
but would nosin the 1.6 give any problems?? do u understand wat i mean ?? i want the power when ever i want it there
Timmy C
If you want a 1.8 over the 2.0 and your not bothered about tuning up much just get the 130 spec 1.8. The 1.6 1.8 and 2.0 engines are so alike really that i cant see how the 2.0 is less tuneable! Im my opinion from what you say about wanting power when needed but not wanting to breaks speed records, go for a 2.0 transplant and leave it standard appart from a nice exhaust and induction kit and im sure it will satisfy your needs at a low cost. Timmy C
Your insurance would laugh at you if you supercharged your 1.6 (if its possible) Putting a standard 2.0 engine in will affect your insurance less than heavily modifying your 1.6.
