A TB kit for one. Around £2k.

You can buy one throttle body housing for about £250, which is what robmk6 was talking about ages ago. You need all the other bits like fuel rail, injectors, new loom, inlet manifold, management, etc etc, which you get in the kit.

You could just bolt that lot on and have it set up, but the power will be held back by a few choke points, namely the exhaust manifold (Trust electrical and £315 will sort that), the head (about £500 to up the spec), and the cams which will cost about £300 all in for some reprofiled ones. The cams are important because TB's move your power band higher up the rev range, and it's a lost cause having standard zetec cams in there, which are shite above 5.5k rpm.

Actually, I think some uprated cams may come as part of the TB kit. I'm sure they did when Ross bought the kit, but he got some still higher spec ones, the cheeky bugger!

Have I missed anything? :O

Dave, i'd go for..

a Harvey Gibbs T3 (same as harvez)

Omex or similar management

CVH Exh Manifold (dont need the adapter)

Cossie 4x4 'cooler (unless you want a Bling one, and TBH, I would :D )

Giles uses his own spec injectors and pistons...(dont even think of doing it without pistons, might as well not bother)

all the piping etc

Focus Head Gasket

Fiesta Turbo inlet manifold

the list goes on, it really aint as simple as people make it sound. I'd ONLY go for a drive in drive out (not neccesarally Giles, but he's who i'd chose)

I just sold my brand new 320bhp Zetec Turbo motor (T34, Pectel T2 ECU, mapped on dyno (gibbs), etc.) for £5,000. It was an absolute bargain to the buyer ;) You'd struggle to get a 'good' zetec turbo for less than that with all the bits.

Also, regarding the escort turbo manifold adapter plate. If you use it, you have no trouble. If you dont use it and bolt the manifold to the head (which means drilling+tapping the head), you'll have problems. Perhaps fatal problems. Having oil constantly pissing down the stud threads and onto the exhaust manifold is not my idea of fun.

I used the relatively expensive £150 Interpro adapter plate (the same as in the photo above), but there are some cheaper ones available now.
