got this problem on the 3i

 

why would this happen? Turn the key and the starter motor just clicks, so obviously it's doing summat, wudda thought if it was fcuked or not engaging, it wudnt do owt, but it's obviously doing summat

 

need help ASAP please people

battery was dead, but got a starter thing, charge that up, stick it on the battery, fire the car up and let the battery charge itself

 

but still no joy

will be a fcuked battery mate deffo

as said above, i had that a few months back

if there's nowt else it can be 'cept the battery, will get it sorted then, got a new one lying about sumwhere only this one was fine 'til the cars been lying about with only ICE to drain the battery, so lost its charge

my escort dun the same wen we had the snow and i run it for a few days wiv nuthin on and it stil wasnt holding its charge as soon as i replaced it no prob at all

aye, was alright, just my battery starter had ran completely out of charge, so had to charge it up for 36 hours before it'd start it, but then it was fine

mines done the same its the starter soleniod sticking i have to hit it a few times and then its fines.

if u get ur car to the nearest halfords they can check the condititon of the battery with their bollox of a battery tester. it can tell u if the battery is fucked or if it needs charging (I.E. KNACKERED ALTERNATOR). the service is free by the way.

Biggsy has just confirmed this for me, got it tested, yes the alternator is on its way out

sorry didnt mean to write in capitals. clumbsy ingers always hitting the caps lock key.
