tbh mate, i thought it was a big dissapointment, 6 cars all together. comments were passed today about the club going downhill etc. and i can see where they are coming from. there was what seemed like no effort made once we arrived on the 'stand' (a patch of concrete and a patch of grass). ian told me and badboyclub to move our cars, so it looked better. once there, the newer members were chatting away nicely and the older ones kept to themselves...i only spoke to ian to get some more window stickers. there was a few nice cars there and cars constantly going around the track. there wasnt much in the way of non cosworth escorts tho im afraid (FEOC-UK had 3 - nice and busy stand!). the weather was good and there was no rain. stalls selling varying things (polishes, keyrings, RS acessories, number plates etc.) and the atmosphere was good.

Steve - thanks for making us feel welcome mate! first one to say hello at the meet point!

still hope Ford Fair is better.

didnt take any pics sorry, left my cam at home :nutter:

I thought it was Fcuking good tbh, i had a good day, yes are stand was only small but thats because no one can be arsed going to any shows unless its the big ones I.E. Ford Fair etc. The stand location was abit cack imo but that aint Ians/Evo's fault, you just get what your given...

Weather was fooking awesome, im sunburnt......Spent most of the day watching the track action and taking pics, some good cars out there.....Seen Furry in his track car, it was on three wheels most of the time lol Didnt see any accidents though :( only mishap i did see was the Red Mk5 RS2k spin on the last corner....

Im fooked now though, it was abit of drive for me.....Everyone kept telling me how it was dead far but it only took me 2hr 30mins going and that was driving normal, i set off late and ended up at the meet point 1/2 hour early X( ....Had some fun on those lanes on the way out of combe lol

All in all, it was a good day for me......Smashing weather and a good bit of track action to watch.... :thumb:

1st time i've been to castle combe & it was a great show... The lads I spoke to were sound and it's just a shame that the others didn't seem to want to comunicate the same. I just think it's better to go to a show and chill out with the members of the club but people didn't seem to want to do that.

Also to be honeset with you i didn't think the clubs aperance was that great either... i.e no flags, banners, gazebos, etc and the layout could have been done better even though we were put in a crap spot.

It was also nice to see that everyone stuck around for the whole day... I got back from having a look around at 2.45pm and every1 had gone.

Anyway it was a great show, great day, loved the cars and there was a great bit of racing. :thumb:

im with mike, great show, if you guys wanted to speak you could have done i hung around for a while chatting to dave, but i aint going to a show where theres track action not to go n watch it.

Gazebo is only for ford fair, if that.

tbh i dont think ill bother organising any shows next year, its not worth it.

to be honest at the start everyone was too busy polishing their cars apart from me as i couldnt be bothered as it needs some body work doing to it by the time they had finished everyone had a quick chat and everyone had disapeared leaving nobody to talk to so had a wander round was some really good stuff there to be honest i think everyone is trying to compare the show to ford fair and lets face it nothing is as good as that Edited by badboyclub

Ian i wasnt saying it was your fault it's just that our stand lookd poor compared to most others. The attendence was poor and I know its not a big show but other members could have made more of an effort.....
