Stu
Had a little chat with Ian Howell earlier and most likely will be getting a head from him for the new engine.. He does a nice double valvespring conversion Although at the power levels we're talking about, I don't think the focus inlet manifold I intended to use will be any good.. Hmmm... Moving goalposts are never a good thing..
reid
Had a little chat with Ian Howell earlier and most likely will be getting a head from him for the new engine.. He does a nice double valvespring conversion whats the difference (benefit wise) between that and a normal setup?

escortjas
Just out of curiosity has anything been done yet, or are you just collecting bits at the mo?
Stu
Just out of curiosity has anything been done yet, or are you just collecting bits at the mo? Mainly just planning at the moment.. trying not to spend any big cash until I have a new contract (i'm currently on contractor-scum vacation).. Had a little chat with Ian Howell earlier and most likely will be getting a head from him for the new engine.. He does a nice double valvespring conversion whats the difference (benefit wise) between that and a normal setup? It depends on what you're trying to do. One thing is to avoid valve float as trig suggests, but there are other reasons you may want to do it (eg, to reduce the coil height etc.). Stu
Put in an offer of $30 on another Audi wastegate on ebay (US seller). Fella accepted the offer but is now trying to shaft me out of $90 postage costs, even though it should be $47. Cheeky Fcuker. I await his response to my friendly email!! On another note, I was going to go with some Ford/Bosch injectors from the Mustang Cobra, but I think i'm going to go for some of these Siemens injectors - after doing some research these apparently have considerably more control than the Bosch ones : And on another thing.. Might go for a modified rover turbo inlet manifold if I do go for the bigger power.. Any want to buy a brand new focus inlet manifold, complete with injectors, fuel rail, throttle body etc.? £50?
